Why did Fattriplets.com mysteriously disappear for a week. How, pray tell, did the “Bits get lost in the ethernet“?

Well if you could see me now you would see a bone sticking out of my head. Not my skull. A replacement for my brain.

You see…I got the bill for the hosting renewal from the hosting company. But, so I thought, this hosting company (lets call it abc.net) is not hosting fattriplets anymore…no no…now it is being hosting by the other hosting company (lets call it xyz.net). No problem, I said. Now that I am Getting Things Done (more on that in my next post), I can handle it. Made a note and dropped it into my Inbox. (Hehehe - a thing that lands there now is as good as done.)

So there I was gleefully processing my inbox. (Oh, the joy, the sheer delight of processing ones inbox). There it was…”Cancel abc.net” hosting. I think it was one of those 2 minutes or less items. I even remembered to ask for the refund.

DONE AND DONE.

Perhaps…one without the bone sticking out of the head may have asked questions like these:
“Shouldn’t you confirm with Scott first?”
“Maybe you could log in over at xyz.net and make sure the hosting is setup there?”
“Why don’t you wait until tomorrow?”…(it was late at night).

So, one lost week and 150 smackerals later (I am not making that up) I have learned my lesson. Think twice process once.

Everyone’s favorite one product per day store, WOOT, with the cleverest and funniest item descriptions on the planet (todays is especially hilarious if you don’t mind people making fun of Sandy Duncan) is having a stealth launch of their newest endeavor wine.woot.com. So all you winebibbers out there celebrate!!

To both of our readers. Mistakes were made. Bits were lost in the ethernet. The token fell out of the ring. The TCP broke up with the IP. The data got separated from the base.

BUT WE’RE BACK!!!

This is a post that I am making just for the sake of making a post. In the great tradition of Seinfeld it is a post about nothing. While I am here, I will mention that I have no good reasons for not posting in the last month or so other than lack of attention to it. Now that I have broken the barrier and have descended to posting about nothing, which requires almost no thought or effort, this should increase the quantity supplied. However, it will almost certainly lead to a decrease in the quantity demanded! Unless you are a Wal-mart shopper and are desensitized to quality!
